Another heartwarming story, albeit one on a more modest scale; French part-timers Montceau, languishing in the CFA (B) division (think French fourth division) tonight defeated second-in-the-league Lens 1-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the French Cup, following their defeat of Bordeaux in the last round. It has been a bad week for Lens - who last week heard Manchester United call for their Stade Félix-Bollaert (which holds more people than the population of Lens itself) to be closed to European football, and now this. To add to the fun, holders Paris Saint-Germain bowed out 2-1 to Sochaux. I shouldn't laugh but I'll permit myself a little snigger.
